Former Guardian Ad Litem Asks Judge for Probation

- A former child advocate from Lackawanna County is asking a federal judge for leniency with her sentencing scheduled for Wednesday morning.

The I-Team obtained paperwork filed on behalf of Danielle Ross, the former Lackawanna County Guardian Ad Litem, on Tuesday afternoon.

Ross is asking the judge for probation and no prison time after pleading guilty to attempted income tax evasion.

The document claims Ross has been a "dedicted, honorable and ethical woman."

The total estimated tax loss in her case was roughly $63,000 according to documents filed by her defense attorney.

Ross is scheduled to be sentenced Wednesday morning at 10:00 AM at the federal courthouse in Wilkes-Barre.
