Two and half years after flooding ravaged Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania, damaged buildings are still being torn down. A Tunkhannock apartment building, seriously damaged in the flooding of September 2011 was demolished Wednesday morning. This is the ninth of forty buildings in Wyoming County targeted for demolition. Federal state and local funds are being used. The Mayor of Tunkhannock says property will be used as a green space.
