Fire Damages ARC Group Home in Scranton

Fire damaged part of a group home in Scranton Thursday afternoon.

The fire around 12:30 PM at the intersection of Court Street and Euclid Avenue.

The group home is run by The ARC of Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Two residents and a staff member were home at the time. They were able to get out safely.

Many ARC members were taking part in the United Way's annual Day of Caring at the time of the fire.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
