"Fake Nun" Bank Robbers Nabbed in New Jersey

Two Women Who Had a Habit Dressing up as Nuns

NEW JERSEY (WBRE/WYOU-TV)   Police in New Jersey have arrested two women clad as nuns in connection with a string of alleged bank robberies.

According to the Fort Lee Daily Voice Newspaper Swahilys Pedraza, 19, of New Haven and Dominican national Melissa Aquino Arias, 23 were taken into custody on Sunday,

The duo were caught after running from a Teaneck New Jersey bank on Sunday after another alleged hold up,

They are also wanted for allegedly attempting to hold up a bank in the Poconos back in August.

The two are behind bars facing federal charges.
