Explosion Hits a Towanda Plant

TOWANDA, BRADFORD COUNTY-An explosion at a factory in Bradford County, had fire crews busy Friday evening.

It happened at Global Tungsten and Powders Corporation in Towanda around 7 o'clock.

The plant is one of the largest worldwide suppliers of tungsten and other powders that are used in things like light bulbs.

Our sister station WETM-tv has also confirmed that the explosion went off in the production area of the plant.

Everyone inside the plant made it out safely and no injuries were reported.
