ESU Global Week

STROUDSBURG, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU-TV) For the third year in a row East Stroudsburg University is hosting Global Week to celebrate diversity on the campus.

Representatives of the United States Army, Marine,  and Air Force were set up outside to give young prospects for recruits or curious students some hands-on education.

They tried their luck at pull-ups and got a close-up look at some military weapons.

“ I feel like the goal for today for the Marine Corps is to show how the marines gets itself involved all over the world.  We're involved in humanitarian efforts and if something's going on we're the first ones to be there.” Said Shannon Grundmann, ESU Junior

“We look for those self-driven, those individuals that have experience being self-motivated and self-reliant and showing discipline to finish their education and be officers in the Marine Corps, “ said Captain Carmella Shivers, United States Marine Corps

Global Week continues through Friday with several more events scheduled
