WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) Everyone has their own special way to celebrate Dad on Sunday. But a father-son duo from Luzerne County spent the day completing a duathlon together.

Runners and cyclists took on an athletic feat Sunday--- a duathlon.
The Y-M-C-A's duathlon starts with a 3.1-mile run, followed by a 16-mile bike and finishing out with another a 3.1-mile run.
And who better to split the work with on Father's Day than dear old dad?
"This year instead of doing it by myself, i thought i would get him involved and make him do the bike rider." Jim Kilgallon, Junior of Forty Fort.
It's Jim junior's 4th duathlon and it's Jim senior's first.
"Well, my son came up and asked me. And i said ok." said Jim, Senior who is from Plymouth.
The two have been training for months.
"A couple practice runs and getting used to the bike." said Jim, Senior. Surrounded by family---
Emma Kilgallon is proud of her dad and grandfather,"I am feeling proud of my grandpa and my dad.
Isabell Kilgallon, of echoed the sentiment.
They both worked very hard for what they want to accomplish.
The pair put their training to the test.
Finishing the race--- while making memories that will last a lifetime.
"It is awesome thing to do with your dad. It is fun to prepare for it and he was exciting about it and it really felt great to do it. " said Jim, Junior.
