Update: Boil Water Advisory for Customers of Appalachian Utilities, Inc in Part of Clinton County

CLINTON COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU-TV) UPDATE: January 5, 2018  Officials of Appalachian Utilities, Inc.have lifted the Boil Water Advisory

Appalachian Utilities, Inc. is alerting customers to boil water advisory.

The company has repaired a water main line along Short Street in the Avis Borough, Clinton County. This work required a portion of the water system to be depressurized for approximately two hours.

Because of the work, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection requires a “Boil water advisory”.

 The advisory will be in effect on January 3, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. until further notice.

Customers in the Avis Borough and portions of Pine Creek Township east and north of the Avis Borough should boil water before using for cooking or consumption.
