Body Armor, Firearms Found in Monroe County Apartment

One man arrested, another on the run

MIDDLE SMITHFIELD TOWNSHIP, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) - State police say they've confiscated firearms and body armor from an apartment building in Monroe County.

Two men from East Stroudsburg have been charged. One was arrested, while the other is still on the run.

Emmy, who wanted to withhold her last name, lives on Cottontail Lane in Middle Smithfield Township.

She was shocked to hear state police raided her neighbors apartment. "[It's] very scary.... discerning," she explains.

Investigators say they confiscated firearms, body armor and drug paraphernalia inside 32-year-old Allah Johnson's bedroom. He has prior felony convictions.

State police are also searching for another man in connection with this case - 34-year-old Christopher Gonzalez.

"I know there's been some trouble up there, but this is the first time I've heard of heavy duty weaponry," Emmy adds.

According to court papers, authorities found drug residue on a razor blade, plastic straws and a silver spoon.

Emmy says the body armor is what troubles her most.

"The only one thing I would think of is they're gunna go try to kill somebody or rob something and be protected," Emmy says.

A warrant has been issued for Christopher Gonzalez's arrest. If you know where he is, contact State Police at the Stroudsburg barracks.

Allah Johnson remains behind bars in Monroe County, unable to post $10,000 dollars bail.
