Mahanoy City, Schuylkill County -- A Schuylkill County woman is in custody after police said she stabbed a man to death back in December.

33-year-old Kimberly Hons of Mahanoy City is accused of killing Larry Quinn.

Hons is facing a slew of charges, including voluntary manslaughter and aggravated assault.

She declined to speak to Eyewitness News as officers led her through the snow and into a police cruiser.

Police said on December 1st, officers were called to a home on East Mahanoy Street in Mahanoy City.

That's where they found Quinn with a stab wound to his chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the criminal complaint, Quinn got into a physical fight with his girlfriend, Linda Smith, who is also the mother of Hons.

Police said Hons confronted Quinn after the argument, and then she got into a dispute with him.

Hons allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife from the counter and stabbed Quinn in the chest. Police said Hons did not have any visible injuries from the altercation.

Hons was transported to the Schuylkill County Prison, and she was denied bail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 22nd in Shenandoah.
