AG Kane Look Into Electric Rates After Consumer Complaints

- Elias Forin from Eynon, Lackawanna County has had it with his skyrocketing electric bills--- He said, "We need protection we need protection from shady electric companies-"  Florin is one of the thousands of Pennsylvania residents who are upset over alleged price gouging by electric companies-  Pennsylvania Attorney General Kane told Eyewitness News, "This all began to unfold when the Governor declared a State of Emergency on February 4th and we saw rates going up which is illegal--- Rates cannot go up more than 20 percent in these type of situations"- We want people to send us their bills, contracts and any promotional materials they received from their power supplier" -- Residents can call the Consumer Protection Hotline 1-800-441-2555   or email  Consumers@attorneygeneral-dot-gov--
