Across the Commonwealth: A Touchy Situation in Harrisburg

HARRISBURG, DAUPHIN COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU-TV) A committee meeting in Pennsylvania's Capitol was briefly interrupted by a republican representative who asked a male colleague to stop touching him and who suggested the democrat might be gay.   Dennis Owens has reaction from the state capitol.

Representative Matt Bradford, of Montgomery County, place his hand on Representative Daryl Metcalfe's arm while he was talking..

Metcalfe claims Bradford has touched him several times before this incident and he has asked Bradford to stop.

At first the committee members laughed thinking Metcalfe's comments were a joke.  But many Pennsylvania Democrats are not amused.

They accused Metcalfe of being homophobic and are calling for him to step down.

Braford says by nature he is a had talker.  And he finds what Metcalfe said very offensive.

Metcalfe said he has no plans to step down.
