It's a charitable organization whose mission is to bring suicide prevention and mental health awareness to schools and the community through educational presentations and resources.

Joining me from the LRS Foundation are Karla Farina, Deputy Director Lou Ruspi Jr. Foundation.

The Lou Ruspi Jr. Foundation is a private, non-profit, charitable organization whose mission is to bring suicide prevention and mental health awareness to schools, organizations and the community through educational presentations and resources.

Established in 2012 by Teressa Stann and Karla Farina to address concerns with the lack of education in schools and the community on suicide prevention and mental health, The Lou Ruspi Jr. Foundation travels throughout the Pennsylvania School Districts targeting grades 6-12 providing an hour long educational session on various topics such as; depression, bipolar, anxiety, bullying, eating disorders, self-esteem, and cutting.

Most important, there is no cost to any school.

The LJR Foundation mission is to reduce the stigma and increase education on mental health in school districts.

Our presentations have already made a great impact on several students, the content of the presentation is engaging and informative allowing some students to gain the courage to open up and get help.
