Sales Assistant

This individual will report to the Director of Sales and work closely with the entire sales department, which includes TV, Internet, video production and promotion/marketing teams. Strong multi-task skills are required and the ability to complete work on deadlines a must. Position requires application of a learned proficiency of OSI Station Traffic Systems. Person will work on an array of digital platforms and create display ads, mini sites, content sections and monthly reports. Meticulous detail in order processing must occur at all times. The individual will learn and apply exemplary knowledge of CMS-Content Management Systems. HTML and Social Media and Video Editing skills must be learned (training will be provided). Software systems include: Microsoft Office, Adobe Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash and Media Encoder. 1-2 years of experience in an office environment preferred, with the desire and ability to learn quickly. Internet savvy, excellent time management, client-friendly, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, able to meet tight deadlines and strong attention to detail required.

Master Control Operator (part-time)

Master control is the main control center for airing television broadcasts. Every audio and video source in the TV station from tape machines to CBS and NBC networks can be placed “on the air” from here. The master control operator, by following the station’s programming log, places the appropriate programs and commercials on the air. The MCO also notes and corrects all log errors, preventing incorrect or dated program material to be aired. Other primary duties include monitoring the off-air signal to maintain legal operation, and making adjustments to audio and video levels. MCO’s also tune in all incoming satellite and microwave feeds from our News trucks and dub commercials and programs. Previous television or video experience preferred.

Looking for upbeat meteorologist to be an integral part of our morning news team. Individual must be able to mix both personality and the science of accurately forecasting the weather for our 17 county Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania coverage area. The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton market includes the beautiful Pocono Mountains and is just two hours from New York City and Philadelphia. Our unique geographical position allows for a wide range of weather, including Nor'easters, tornadoes and everything in between. Duties also include providing forecasts to regional radio stations, the PAHomepage.com web site, and social media. This outgoing individual will undertake community service projects and public appearances that enhance the station’s position in the market. Other duties may be assigned. 2 years on-air experience preferred. AMS seal and/or NWA seal of approval required. Familiarity with WSI/Weather Central computer systems helpful.
