WBRE's Joe Holden brings to the table an appetite for hard-edged stories and
breaking news. He joined the team in September, 2005. Joe's career began
behind-the-scenes at WPHL-TV Philadelphia in 2001 where he was an assignment
editor for the next two years. From there, it was off to Charlottesville,
Virginia, where he served as the lead 11pm reporter. Breaking stories, hunting
down exclusives and doing live shots became a regular exercise for Joe. Joe is
thrilled to be back in his home state. He attended Cabrini College in Radnor,
Delaware County where he majored in English and communication. He was editor in
chief of the college newspaper. All told, he survived a total of 16 years of
Catholic education. Joe is also an accomplished musician. Hired at 15, he was
one of the youngest music directors employed by an Archdiocese of Philadelphia
parish. There he directed a 30-member choir and accompanied a full-roster of
masses and parish events. Joe and his wife, Kelly, reside in Swoyersville.
