The Tri-Valley Community Band will hold its 2nd Annual Spring Concert on Sunday, June 8 at 3:00 PM in the Tri-Valley High School Auditorium.  This is a FREE concert and donations will be accepted at the door.  The band is made up of primarily adult musicians from the Tri-Valley Area and is directed by David Schmaldienst.  The concert will feature music from the classical wind band repertoire, Broadway, Patriotic, and Marches.  Music for the entire family.  Come and be a part of this community event.

The purpose of organizing the Tri-Valley Community Band is to establish a performing group, pulling from the wealth of instrumental musicians in and from the Tri-Valley Area.  The band is primarily an adult organization, but will also accept well qualified student musicians that have participated in PMEA District Band or County Band to complete and compliment the sections of the band as needed.  If you are from the Tri-Valley Area, graduated from, moved in to, or are affiliated with the Tri-Valley community, you are welcome and encouraged to participate.  The band does an After Christmas, Christmas Concert and a Spring Concert.  Contact us by email at

Some of the music in this year’s Spring Concert includes “Festive Overture” by Dimitri Shostakovich, “October” by Eric Whitaker, “American Salute” by Morton Gould, and “American Visions” by Travis Weller (a new composer from Western Pennsylvania).  You will also hear music composed by Henry Mancini, George Gershwin, as well as a “Salute to American Jazz” by Sammy Nestico.
Don’t miss this exciting music event.
