Whatever YOU geek, your public library supports you!!

On April 18 we are kicking off a Geek the Library year, aimed at increasing the number of people who have library cards and communicating the value of your Library. There will be fun and surprises at the Library on that day, so please mark your calendars to stop in and enjoy.

PA One Book author, Susan Stockdale, will visit the Library on
Tuesday, April 1 at 10:45 AM
for a special nonregistration program. Every family in attendance will receive a copy of her book, Stripes of All Types, which is recommended for children ages 3-6.
Friends First Friday Book Review Luncheon
Friday April 4
April's Book Review Luncheon will compare chapters from Let the Great World Spin and Transatlantic, both by Colum McCann, Irish American writer of literary fiction. 

The presenter will be Thomas A. Zimmerman, Associate Professor of Psychology, Humanities/Social Sciences at Pennsylvania College of Technology.  Zimmerman, a native of Williamsport, has been, for several years, the member of a reading group that reads exclusively Irish authors.

Be sure to stop by the Moltz Rotunda Room to see the Local Black Heritage Project, on display  until April 11.

On Wednesday, April 9, organizers of the project are hosting a community roundtable discussion with project contributors.


The roundtable is an opportunity for the public, friends and family of the participants to share the experiences that went into the creation of the artwork and will take place on Wednesday, April 9, at 5:30 p.m. in the Moltz Rotunda Room, just inside the 4th Street entrance of the library.
