The easy beginners’ classes, offered through Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Penn College, require no previous computer knowledge.
Computer Camp for Adults 55+ (9 a.m. to noon, Sept. 5 and 12) is a fun course that introduces the computer for enjoyment purposes. The instructor will lead participants through entertaining games, emailing friends and family, surfing the Internet, Facebook, and basic word processing for letter writing. The class is paced for the novice and includes time for questions and answers in a relaxed stress-free environment.
iPad & iPhone for Adults 55+ (9 a.m. to noon, Oct. 6 and 13) is designed for those new to an iPad or iPhone. Learn how to enter information and efficiently use finger gestures while navigating the Internet. Additional topics include playing music, capturing photos and shooting videos. Explore common applications included on the device, as well as free applications available in the App Store. Includes time for questions and answers. Devices must be Internet-ready via cellular or Wi-Fi access. In addition, participants should have a previously created Apple ID for App Store access.
