La Plume –- In what is annually a sure sign of spring, Keystone College will host an open house for its Sugar Shack maple syrup operation on Sunday, March 30 at 1 p.m. The public is invited to see how maple syrup is produced and learn about the sugaring process during this hands-on event.
Keystone Professor Howard Jennings and adjunct instructor and naturalist Shane Kleiner will lead the session. The Sugar Shack is located on the east end of campus near Christy Mathewson Field. Guests are asked to dress for the weather and pre-registration is required by contacting Sharon Burke, (570) 945-8555 or sharon.burke@keystone.edu.
