The event is a 2.5 mile walk through Harrisburg's Riverfront Park, from the Jewish Community Center to the Pennsylvania Holocaust Monument.
“We hope that everyone will consider taking part in the walk or donate to the fund to repair and maintain the Holocaust monument. It serves as an important reminder that we must be ever vigilant against all bigotry and intolerance and be aware of warning signs so that we can prevent future genocides,” said Carol Hillman, walk chairperson.
Registration will take place from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Jewish Community Center, 3301 N. Front Street, Harrisburg. The walk will begin at 2 p.m. and a closing program at the Holocaust Monument will take place at 4 p.m.
Parking is available at the Jewish Community Center with return transportation available at the end of the closing ceremony.
