The Lackawanna County Commissioners presented a “Good Works” certificate to the staff of the Community Intervention Center (CIC), N. Seventh Avenue, Scranton, for its role in offering a variety of personal empowerment, housing and self-sustaining recovery activities for individuals in the area. The agency’s Behavioral Health Drop in Center is in its 42nd year of operation and is open seven days a week from 8 AM – 7 PM. The CIC also administers self-help meetings, detox treatment referrals, a day shelter program and a daily meal service.
