Yard sale hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will include sales of Mr. Sticky's sticky buns, which can be ordered in advance at https://docs.google.com/a/bucknell.edu/forms/d/1HHD9eR7xU7GvipVDbAj6GmKRM9oMrljA2cqKq5lFFAo/viewform. Orders should be paid for and picked up by noon.
"We have received donations – furniture, TVs and clothing – from community members, students and their parents, and Bucknell faculty and staff," said Jenna Weaver, Bucknell Brigade intern.
The Brigade will collect additional donations at the South Ward parking lot on Saturday, April 5, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Contact Weaver at firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance in picking up donations or for more information about these events.
All proceeds will be donated to a free health clinic in Nueva Vida, Nicaragua, a resettlement community outside the capital city of Nicaragua. The health clinic was largely built by donations raised by the Bucknell Brigade and still operates on these donations.
Delegations of students and staff bring donated medicines, inventory supplies in the pharmacy, and assist with manual labor on projects identified by the Center for Development in Central America, the host agency, while learning about micro-enterprise initiatives, grass roots development, the history, and culture of Nicaragua.
